The Introduction to the March Timings this month is in an audio I created about Solar Return Magic…intended to inspire you in finding ceremonial ways to celebrate your Solar Return (a.k.a. your birthday). I created this audio in honor of my Solar Return this month (the day that commands us to March 4th  forth). Focusing on Magic also is a way to fulfill one of my missions to restore a LOVE of Magic to this world.

Magic is all around us all the time when we are open to seeing and experiencing it. Many of us have been trained through cultural beliefs to fear or question magic. In times past there were those who punished, tortured and killed if they were believed to practice magic. Like anything practicing magic or engaging in magical acts can have a supportive and beneficial effect or can be used to manipulate and control for personal gain. It is all about intent.

The audio on Birthday Magic focuses on the magic that can happen when you set a heartfelt intent! You can tune into this audio on the Unexpected Magic page and on the Audio Timings Page.

Some Interesting Notes about March
2014 began with Venus Retrograde followed by Mercury a few days after Venus went direct. Mercury just went direct on Feb 28. These celestial events have had the effect of slowing forward momentum on many fronts. This trend will continue through March as Mars stations retrograde on March 1 then Saturn on the 2nd. Knowing this is helpful in trusting any delays you are experiencing – are actually working for you even if you can’t see that right now.

Jupiter is stationing direct on March 6 so that may help move things forward, though how much depends on where you are in your personal life journey. In addition to the 4 planetary stations happening with in the first week we also have the asteriod Vesta who is stationing retrograde with Mars. This is deepening our journey into the new forms of Conscious Equal Partnership and Relationship as the old patriarchal model continues to disintegrate. Speaking of that…the upcoming Spring Equinox is amplifying the Grand Cross exact in April that is helping to speed up the disintegration of the old forms.

This the month named after the Roman god Mars and is linked with the Greek god Ares. Mars was considered to be a God of agriculture and war and this month marks the planting season for farming and also a season when the Romans would go to war. March 25 also known as the feast of Annunciation and was the New Year for Britain and for its colonies until they switch to the Gregorian calendar in 1752. March 17 also known as St. Patrick’s Day was a day to plant peas and to pinch anyone who it wasn’t wearing – the color of the Shamrock.

This year the spring equinox is on March 20. Until recently the March equinox fell on March 21 or March 20. It now falls primarily on March 20 unless we are in a leap year and then it falls on March 19.  The next time that will happen is 2016.

Globally Significant Venus Journey Has Begun
There is still time to join Me and Shamanic Astrologer Tami Brunk on a guided journey through the new Capricorn Venus Morning Star Cycle, a profound initiation of descent and renewal. We have had a HUGE response to this class – many feeling called to work with the Circle of Grandmothers and the revisioning of the old rules of the patriarchy.

This course is open to anyone (both men and women) desiring a deeper connection to the divine feminine wisdom this Venus Cycle is exploring.

This series (along with our collective intention) gives you a powerful way to have a conscious connection with Venus and her cycle, even if you are not in a personal Venus return. Over the years we have found that working with the Venus Cycle is life changing so you will NOT want to miss this opportunity.  Details for the CLASS are HERE.

March Sky
New Moons this time of year become visible sooner than at other times of the year. This is due to the angle of the ecliptic in the month of March and this month features two New Moons  on March 1 and March 30.  Many cultures celebrated the New Moon when they could actually see the tiny Crescent in the evening sky. The practice of celebrating the New Moon when the Sun and Moon are exactly conjunct is a more recent development.

The still fairly Full Moon is passing between Mars and Spica on March 18.

Mars stations retrograde on March 1 rising about 9:48 pm as March begins and rises just after sunset around 7:24 pm at the end of the month.

Jupiter is stationing direct on March 6 and is setting around 3:40 am as March begins and sets at 1:46 pm at month’s end.

Saturn is stationing retrograde on March 2 and is rising just before midnight. By the end of March Saturn is rising at 9:48 pm.

Venus is rising about two hours before the Sun at 4:18 am as March begins and rises at 4:03 am at month’s end. This Venus cycle that occurs every 8 years (2006, 2014 and 2022) is when Venus is always seen lower on the dawn horizon than in other morning star appearances. Venus reaches maximum elongation from the Sun in the morning sky on March 22 but will appear lower on the horizon than other Venus Cycles.

Mercury reaches its greatest elongation in the morning sky on March 14 (a week before Venus) and is visible 10° below Venus in the morning sky.

Daylight savings time begins on March 9. This is the time to spring forward or set clocks ahead one hour. This has the effect of displacing the Sun so that it is highest in the sky at 1 PM instead of 12 noon. Two states do not go on daylight time, Hawaii and Arizona. The exception in Arizona is the Navajo reservation.

In the United States daylight time is observed on the first Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November. The European Union changes to daylight time on the last Sunday of March and ends daylight time on the last Sunday in October. This year that is March 30 and October 26.

The Daily March 2014 Celestial Timings
(all times are PST and PDT unless otherwise noted)

March 01, Saturday. In ancient Roman times March 1 was when women celebrated the festival Matronalia in honor of the Goddess Juno. This celebration was geared towards prayers and offerings for a happy marriage and traditionally husbands gave presents to their wives. The asteroid Juno is at 29 Pisces entering Aries on March 3, activating the Spring Equinox point. Juno features the mysteries of conscious equal partnership.

This is the archetypal energy where the mysteries of personal relating through heart centered compassionate connection (Pisces) are a path to enlightenment. When Juno enters Aries the emphasis is on how we relate to our commitment to a relationship, to a cause, to the Earth, to a purpose. Plus, Juno traveling through the last degrees of Pisces is supporting this New Moon and the intentions we are setting now.

The Pisces New Moon (10 Pisces 59) is exact at 2:59 am Eastern Time so depending on your time zone the New Moon was exact either late last night or early this morning. As I stated February 28 this New Moon seed point inspires our dreaming, especially around the seeds or visions that are most connected to our heart’s desire. Dreaming, imaging, talking about, writing about and really feeling into what is most inspiring is a great way to engage this New Moon energy.

It might be helpful to ask Juno for her support in dreaming into your intentions at this time. This may include how you relate to yourself, to your dreams and to your true heart’s desire?

Mars (27 lever 32) stations retrograde at 8:24 am. About every two years Mars goes retrograde and remains retrograde for almost three months. The last time Mars went retrograde was January 23, 2012 in the sign of Virgo and the last time Mars went retrograde in Libra was Feb 19, 1982 about 32 years ago.

When Mars goes retrograde it represents the final phase of the journey or quest Mars has been engaged in over the last couple of years. This is a time for integrating and synthesizing the previous Mars cycle that began in March of 2012 in the archetypal realm of Virgo and also begins the preparation of the new Mars journey beginning on April 8 when a bright and magnificent Mars rises as the Sun sets – beginning a new two year journey for the masculine principle in the archetypal realm of Libra.

The ancients were most impressed by the visual experience of a bright Mars rising as the Sun was setting, a rare event that only happens about every 2 years. Whatever sign Mars is occupying at the time it rises opposite the Sun represents the featured archetype of the masculine being integrated into the collective psyche of humanity for the duration of the cycle.

Shamanic Astrology views Mars in Libra as the partner or the aspect of the masculine that is most interested in creating relationships that have equal value. This means hierarchal relationships such as a King to his subjects, the boss to his employees, the parent to the child, are NOT the focus of this expression of the masculine.

This is very different than the current cycle of Mars integrating Virgo, the high priest, who is most dedicated to serving a sacred function.  Mars in Libra is interested in creating a round table of partnerships where no one is more or less important than anyone else. They may have different gifts and talents they bring to the table but they are of equal value. Libra is also the archetype most likely to desire to find their soul mate or beloved partner and commit to that type of bonded relationship.

March 02, Sunday. The Moon enters Aries at 7:40 am reminding us of the importance of being committed to a cause that we really care about and taking inspired action on that cause over the next couple of days. Maybe the cause is to take better care of yourself? Maybe it’s to take steps to further your work or business? Maybe it is to commit more deeply to a relationship? Whatever it is – now is the time to take action – especially now that Mercury has gone direct.

Saturn (23 Scorpio 19) stations retrograde at 11:19 am and will be retrograde until July 20 when it stations direct at 16 Scorpio 39. This means if you have planets or angles between 16 and 24 degrees of the Self Interest Signs (a.k.a Fixed signs of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo and Aquarius) you are currently undergoing a Saturn Initiation.

If you are in a Saturn initiation it is a time when you are intended to examine the structures of your life as defined by where Saturn is activating you.  This can include your identity, your work, your relationships, your life style, your belief systems, your health and well-being etcetera for the purpose of finding the new forms that fit where you are now so you can continue to grow and evolve.

This is like the snake shedding its skin. The old skin, or structure, served its purpose and it is time to move into a new skin. Collectively Saturn in Scorpio is examining the old structures of how to run life force energy. More on the Snake Shedding its Skin HERE.

Venus (27 Capricorn 32) squares Mars (27 Libra 32) at 12:40 pm. This speaks to the different journeys the masculine and feminine principles are experiencing right now. Mars in Libra is most interested in relationship to a beloved other, while Venus in Capricorn is most interested in effectively and responsibly managing her domain.

This difference is a seeming role reversal based on the current cultures way of perceiving men and women in relationship. The Libra God must understand and respect to wisdom of the Capricorn Goddess whose focus is on being a responsible leader who is creating effective ways of living in community and harmony with the Earth.

March 03, Monday. The Moon is conjunct Uranus (10 Aries 43) exact at 1:50 am further activating the Grand Cross and the unexpected events that are intended to eliminate limited points of view so we can expand our vision to a greater cosmic perspective. This includes shifting any limiting beliefs we have about ourselves. Trusting this process is liberating and freeing.

Sun (13 Pisces 07) is sextile Pluto (13 Capricorn 07) once each year just prior to Pluto going retrograde. Pluto goes retrograde this year on April 14 at 13 Capricorn 35. That means Pluto is only moving about a half of a degree between now and then. Plus the 13 degree point is the place where all the planets will be at the peak of the Grand Cross. This tells us we have two activations happening today with the Moon activating Uranus and the Sun activating Pluto the two main players of the Grand Cross and the on-going Uranus Pluto Square is experiencing a Solar and Lunar activation that may produce unexpected events that expand our point of view. March 04, Tuesday. My Happy 58th Birthday – Marching Fourth into a New Solar Year!
Last year I rebirthed in the birthing cave and will be headed back to Sedona to celebrate another Solar Year. Woohooo….The waxing Moon is moving into Taurus at 11:12 am. With the all the intense energies on the planet this is a great time to tune into the sensual, pleasurable, relaxed energies of Taurus that love to spend as much time as possible in the present moment. Taurus is about experiencing and receiving the beauty and pleasure of life. Now is a good time to notice what feels good, what feels supportive, what feels enjoyable and then do it!

What simple day-to-day activities can you engage in that will enhance your experience of healthy spontaneous pleasure?

This is such a great question I highly recommend you post it where you can see it often. (Also see Birthday Magic Audio)

March 05, Wednesday. Venus is moving into Aquarius at 1:03 pm traveling through this area of the sky until April 5. Venus in Aquarius is the expression of the divine feminine who is most interested in revolutionizing awareness through innovative and radical ideas. This includes having not only the option, but also the responsibility of experimenting with and then embracing our own spiritual and evolutionary path.

This means there is NO need for someone else to intercede on our behalf or to be in charge of our evolutionary journey. Remembering that we have the power to have our own direct connection with the divine is a radical idea whose time is Now.

This is contrary to many of the religious points of view currently on the planet but TIMELY none-the-less. For the next stage of evolution to occur it is essential for every individual to step up and empower our direct connection with spirit. Connecting with Venus in the morning sky can help support a deepening of this process.

March 06, Thursday. Happy 29th Birthday to my Beautiful, Talented, Wondrous Twins, Ian and Jenna. They are pictured here in their last visit with me.

Jupiter (10 Cancer 27) stations direct at 2:42 am in close alignment with Sirius our brightest fixed star. (see audios on Sirius) Jupiter’s journey through Cancer has been emphasizing the ways we do family and local or tribal expressions. When healthy, Cancer is about creating a safe space for everyone to bring forth their innate gifts. We have about 4 more months to continue exploring how to further expand that intent.

This is an important reminder that we are all in this life experience together and we need each other to show up so we can thrive. The shadow of Cancer has been expressed as looking out only for my immediate family and not recognizing that we are actually a global family on the same spaceship Earth.

The waxing Moon moves into Gemini at 6:37 pm passing 6.7° S of the Pleiades. Whenever the Moon is in Gemini it is a great time to engage in creative and social activities. Hanging out with the Moon tonight is a fun way to get a direct transmission from the Pleiades via the Moon as it enters the Sacred Hoop and to see the Moon’s approach to Aldebaran tonight. By tomorrow night the Moon will be beyond Aldebaran.

March 07, Friday. The Moon passes 2.1°N of Aldebaran (10 Gemini) around 2 pm visible just beyond Aldebaran tonight. The Moon is continuing its monthly journey through the Sacred Hoop of Stars and as it passes Aldebaran is activating this royal star of ancient times connected to Archangel Michael.  Many ancient cultures viewed Aldebaran as the all-seeing “eye of god” with the light codes that have the potential to help restore the original perfection of the Earth. Being with the Moon tonight either in your mind’s eye or out under the sky is a good time to tune in and ask for restoration – that is actually already coded into our DNA – of the divinity that we are and the purity and perfection of our hearts.

March 08, Saturday. The Gemini First Quarter Moon (17 Gemini 54) is exact at 5:27 am representing a time of rapid growth as we visually see the Moon growing bigger each night on its way towards Full. The Full Moon is on March 16. Pictured to the right the First Quarter Moon is near the fixed star Al Hecka the southern horn of the Bull a star known for activating mischievous events much like the trickster Gemini.

Gemini is the archetype of freedom from the rules of duality and to remind us not to take ourselves too seriously. This is the time to lighten up, see the humor, and laugh with delight and the utter joy of life, or laugh at ourselves and how serious we can be sometimes. Laughter is powerful magic. Laughter is powerful medicine that can almost instantly shift our entire mood and perspective.

March 09, Sunday. Daylight savings time begins in the United States. The Moon moves into Cancer at 6:33 am and is located on the Galactic Cross at the Galactic Edge. This is a great time to see the Moon in the constellation of the Twins as it moves to catch up with Jupiter early tomorrow morning. When the Moon is moving through Cancer it is a time to focus on how we nurture and care for one another that help to create new and practical ways of doing family and community that are based in mutual cooperation supporting a sustainable nurturing lifestyle.

March 10, Monday. The Moon passes 5° S of retrograde Jupiter (10 Cancer 27) at 3:37 am meaning that the Moon is visible beyond Jupiter tonight. Jupiter is expanding the Cancer mysteries and so it is important to let go of all the ways we have been in competition with others. The shadow of Cancer expresses as being willing to ONLY take care of their own family and tribe. Often this leads to harming or even killing others to achieve that objective. That serves to escalate conflict between tribes, between cultures and between nations. Jupiter has the possibility to bring a new more expanded vision about how we are a Global Family and that we must work cooperatively to create a healthy happy world in order to survive and thrive.

Mercury (23 Aquarius 15) is square Saturn (23 Scorpio 15) at 11:14 pm. The quick nature of Mercury is encountering the slow nature of Saturn. Mercury and Aquarius loves to move fast, taking spontaneous, in-the-moment action to further an idea. Saturn desires a workable well-thought out plan before taking action. Saturn in Scorpio desires for whatever action that is happening to be the most alive, most juicy and orgasmic action possible. Balancing these two styles of operation is the creative action being called for now.

March 11, Tuesday. The Moon is passing 12° S of Pollux (24 Cancer) around 8 am as it exits the Sacred Hoop before moving into Leo at 7:09 pm Pollux is one of the two main stars of the Twins, Castor is the other. These stars draw our attention to the mysteries of duality and polarity, the twin nature we all carry within us, sometimes judged as good sometimes judged as bad.

As a mother of boy/girl twins who turned 29 on March 6, I have an up close and personal experience of twins. My son’s favorite shirt when he was in High School said, “I am the Evil Twin”.  As humans we all have our light and dark side. Most of us have been trained to ignore or discount our dark or “evil” side. Remember evil is live spelled backwards reminding us it is all about how we choose to look at life. Are you looking at life as Good or Bad? Are you able to accept ALL that IS you and this life without judgment?

The Moon in Leo reminds us we are the ones we have been waiting for… we are the radiant and shining ones remembering our divine expression through radical self-love. Genuine, healthy self-love is experienced when we can truly forgive ourselves for any harm or mistakes we may have made. The opposite of self-love is self-hate and is the other side of the twin nature we all carry.

“We are wont to condemn self-love; but what we really mean to condemn is contrary to self-love. It is that mixture of selfishness and self-hate that permanently pursues us, that prevents us from loving others, and that prohibits us from loving ourselves.” Paul Valery quotes (French Poet, Essayist and Critic, 1871-1945)

What would it take for me to deeply and completely love and accept myself? And in all the ways I still do not fully love myself, I release, let go, and send to the light all the fear, blame, hurt, pain, guilt, shame, and doubt that has prevented me from truly loving who I am. I ask that this is divinely done across all time, beyond time, throughout all the dimensions and realities I have ever existed in or ever will exist in – it is done, it is so and I give thanks.

March 12, Wednesday. The Moon passes 6.4° SSW of the Beehive Cluster (7 Leo) around 9 am meaning that it is visible beyond the Beehive tonight. This means the Moon is transmitting the mysteries of working in community and with the natural rhythms of life. Bees have a strong connection to the cycles of the Sun because they can only gather nectar when the flowers are open. When the Sun sets or the flowers close, the Bees return to their hive. Once each month the Moon passes the Beehive Cluster illuminating the wisdom of the Bees or BEEing in harmony with the cycles and seasons.

March 13, Thursday. The Sun (23 Pisces 13) is trining retrograde Saturn (23 Scorpio 13) at 2:16 pm. Whenever a planet trines the Sun it has either just gone retrograde or is about to go direct meaning it is always retrograde at the time of the trine. Saturn stationed retrograde on March 2 at 23 Scorpio 19 so has only moved 6 minutes in the last couple of weeks. Whatever is going on in the deeper depths of your personal experience is being illuminated by the Sun in the Still Point of Saturn’s cycle meaning it is an opportunity to go deeply into the feelings, especially the ones that may be unconscious and hidden within you. Remember feelings come from the inside out, while emotions are triggered from the outside. Sitting quietly and tuning into what you genuinely feel is a way to empower your awareness around your deeper feelings and desires.

The Moon is visible approaching Regulus tonight and is visible beyond Regulus tomorrow night.

March 14, Friday. The Moon moves into Virgo at 7:17 am conjunct Regulus, the heart of the Lion. Regulus is the bright star that you see at the base of a “backward question mark” defining the head of the Lion and is visible toward looking South, high in the evening sky. Astronomers estimate that the light we see from Regulus took 85 years to reach the Earth.

Regulus is a star that has been associated with Kings, and the name actually means King. Regulus was named by Copernicus (1473-1543) who used the word Regulus, as a diminutive of the earlier Rex that was derived from the second-century Greek astronomer Ptolemy and the equivalent Greek word Basiliskos (translated as “Little King”).

Regulus is a Behenian star lying very close to the ecliptic. The Alchemists considered Behenian Stars to be a source or “root” of astrological power that was magnified whenever one or more of the visible planets including the Sun and Moon were within six degrees. Each Behenian star is connected with a ritual gemstone (granite for Regulus) and plant (mugwort). These stones and plants were used to draw upon the star’s influence for creating talismans.http://celestialtimings.com/articles/behenian.html

As one of the four royal stars of ancient times Regulus has also been linked with archangel Raphael, the Watcher of the North and described as a star that is a ‘Shining One who Heals’. Raphael is considered a patron of knowledge including the sciences and medicine. He is a protector of travelers and equally known to be charming and fun loving. These are all great additional images to connect with as the Moon passes by Regulus today and will be visible beyond Regulus tonight.

Mercury (26 Aquarius 17) is reaching its greatest elongation in the morning sky 27.5° from the Sun. This means that Mercury has stretched as far as it can before it begins its descent back to the horizon where it will eventually disappear and travel with the Sun from April 18 to May 4 when it reappears in the evening sky.

March 15, Saturday. The Ides of March – the infamous day Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BCE. The Roman calendar used the word Ides, meaning to divide, to describe the middle of their calendar month. The 15th day of March, May, July, and October marked the ides, or middle of those months. All other months the Ides fell on 13th day. William Shakespeare’s play made famous the warning to Julius Caesar “Beware the Ides of March”. As we approach the Spring Equinox the Ides of March is a reminder to pay attention to our environment and how we are engaging with those around us. The Sun is now in the last 6 degrees of Pisces suggesting that genuine compassion for ourselves and others is the place to start. More about the Ides Here

It is also worth noting again that Vesta stationed retrograde on March 2 at 29 Libra 59 near the same time Mars was stationing retrograde at 27 Libra 17 on March 1. Plus the North Node entered Libra on Feb 18. This rare gathering of Vesta and Mars retrograde with the North Node will be joined by the Moon on March 18. Vesta, as High Priestess is deepening exploration into the sacred nature of relationships. Retrograde Mars now completing his initiation as High Priest, is joined with retrograde Vesta in this exploration continuing their journey together until July 26 when Mars moves into Scorpio.  Vesta is in Libra until July 30 so is keeping close connection to Mars (within 10 degrees) until early September.

The North Node is representing the new destiny that is emerging for the sacred feminine and the sacred masculine in conscious equal partnership. The North Node remains in Libra until November of 2015. The last time Vesta began a new cycle in Libra was March of 2003, the time before that was April of 1985. To learn more about the Vesta cycle be sure to check out the Shamanic Astrology Mystery School Tele-Class on Vesta scheduled for April 11. More info here and scroll down the page to find the Vesta Class.

March 16, Sunday. The Virgo Full Moon (26 Virgo 02) is exact at 10:08 am and moves into Libra at 5:46 pm. The Virgo Full Moon is the Full Moon of the year that is for celebrating the High Priest/ess who honors the sacred patterning of life. Shamanic traditions are aware of what they call the Web of Life. Some traditions refer to Spider Woman who weaves the web of life. She is the Weaver we are the Web.

Quantum Physics describes a field of Energy that connects everything (the Unified Field or Akashic Field) in the same way that the web of life connects everything. This is a time to look at the personal web you are weaving around you. Is it working? If not what parts of the web need to be rewoven?

If you are feeling on-going resistance around any of your efforts or projects in the world it may be a message that what you are doing is not in alignment with your person pattern. Spider reminds us of the importance of where and how we weave our web. When spider weaves her web in the proper alignment all she needs comes to her. Take time to notice the coincidences or correspondences happening around you and the messages they reflect to you as that will help you know if you are in divine alignment with your soul’s intent at this time or if it is time to reweave your web.

March 17, Monday. St. Patrick’s Day. Mercury returns to Pisces at 3:24 pm and will pass the degree of its retrograde station last month on the Equinox March 20 traveling through Pisces until April 7. When Mercury is in Pisces it is a time to feel more deeply onto our inner knowing, especially when events do not make logical sense. Mercury in Pisces is not about figuring things out in a left brain linear way – through logic and reason. Rather this is an expression of the mind that is more right brained, creative, and trusting inner guidance without knowing how or why. This allows the creative inner genius to come forth.

March 18, Tuesday. Venus (11 Aquarius 38) is sextile Uranus (11 Aries 38) at 12 pm creating the possibility of rapid change. Often these unexpected changes are welcome and refreshing. Other times they can be so out of control it feels unsettling. It is helpful to trust the process and let go of attachments and be open to the sense of freedom Uranus is bringing to the divine feminine at this time.

The Moon passes 1.6° NNE of Spica and an hour or so later passes 3.1° SSW of Mars (25 Libra 45) at 6:07 pm. This activates and amplifies the Mars Spica dance that has been going on since January. See audios

March 19, Wednesday. The Moon moves into Scorpio at 2:13 am the archetypal energy most known for being a master generator of Life Force Energy, of Will, and of Desire. Contrary to many spiritual teachings our primary evolutionary process is NOT about getting over our human desires or somehow evolving past them.

Scorpio School says desire is natural and is in fact a part of the human experience. It is our attachment to the way we want our desires to manifest that causes pain, frustration, and other problems. When we learn how to be with our desires without attachment to how they manifest, then Life Force Energy is free to express in the most powerful and life supporting ways possible. Not being attached to results often means that what actually manifests is more amazing than what we were imagining we were desiring. This is a good time to ask, what would it take for me to live the fulfillment of my true heart’s desire?

March 20, Thursday. Happy Spring Equinox exact at 9:57 am when the Sun moves into Aries and crosses the Vernal Equinox point in the sky. This means today and tomorrow we are in the precise window of the Equinox Solar energies when the Sun makes a direct path over the Equator bringing and equal balance of Day and Night to both Hemispheres of the Earth.

Radiant energy from the Sun directly over the equator lessens the usual strength of the Earth’s magnetic field during the Equinox days. The magnetic field moves clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and counter clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere creating a spiral magnetic effect. (The image below shows the magnetic fields rotating in opposite directions.)

Twice each year as the Sun passes over the equator the magnetic energies of both hemispheres are at their lowest potency. This means for about 24 hours before and after the exact Equinox point it is easier to connect with other dimensions of reality energizing otherworldly magic that can holistically benefit the Earth.

Many ancient cultures took advantage of this time through ceremony and intention. Tracing their lineage back to 13th Century BCE the Heremetic Order of the Golden Dawn was very much aware of this phenomenon and has specific ceremonies they do at the equinoxes to maximize this Timing. More About the Golden Dawn Here and here is more on Celebrating the Equinoxes

The Moon also occults Saturn (23 Scorpio) at 8:11 pm today for the third time this year and will complete a series of occultations in October. There are 7 Moon occultations over Saturn in 2014 including April 17, May 14, June 10, July 07, Aug 4 and 31, Sep 27/28 and October 25. Occultations accelerate the energy similar to an eclipse and since Saturn represents the world of form, as well as our experience of Time, these occultations accelerate and activate Time Portals where we can literally shift our Timeline to enter the reality we have been desiring on a new Timeline. More on the Timelines?

Interestingly, Scorpio is the sign most connected to the Occult. An occultation is covering and uncovering of a planet or star in this already highly charged equinox window. So what is being uncovered in the depths of Scorpio, the depths of what we feel, and how we connect to source energy and then run that as our life force energy? What are the secrets deep within you that are being revealed now?

March 21, Friday. The Moon moves into Sagittarius at 8:39 am and is visible very near Antares (10 Sagittarius) tonight. The Moon in Sagittarius is illuminating the quest for truth and enlightenment intended to expand self-understanding, knowledge, and the meaning of life. The Sagittarian mysteries explore the multi-dimensional levels of truth as it relates to our conscious in-the-moment experience. There are many layers and levels to explore in this reality, and Sagittarius loves exploring them all. That is why this archetype is known for the ever expanding spiritual quest into new dimensions of experience.

The Moon is also opening the Antares Stargate further transmitting divine wisdom into the physical world. Antares is the royal star most connected with Archangel Uriel who transmitted the Celestial Mysteries to Enoch. Tuning into Antares is a great way to tune into these Celestial Mysteries.

March 22, Saturday. Venus (15 Aquarius 15) reaches greatest elongation in the morning sky at 46.6°. This means Venus has reached as far as she can reach beyond the Sun and will begin her journey back to the horizon disappearing from the Morning Sky on September 17. On this journey toward the Sun, Venus is taking the insights she has gained back to source for integration, seeking the new insights that come from being with the Sun. Then Venus re-emerges in the Evening Sky on Dec 5.

When Venus reaches greatest elongation and is in Aquarius we can imagine that she is reaching for the most unique, revolutionary, far-out ideas that support evolutionary growth. The current Venus cycle in Capricorn is benefitted by these ideas as the Capricorn Goddess can take them and put them into a practical form that allows us to do less and get greater results.

Mercury is conjunct Neptune 05 Pisces 36 at 1:16 pm. Both Mercury and Neptune are very close to Fomalhaut the Royal star of the South, who helps us to heal our addictions. This is especially true of our doing addictions, when we are willing to receive the supportive energies Neptune and Pisces are beaming to Earth through the Unified Infinite Field of All Possibilities.

March 23, Sunday. The Capricorn Last Quarter Moon (3 Capricorn 21) is exact at 6:46 pm and is rising around midnight. The Capricorn Last Quarter Moon is a great time for organizing our thoughts, plans, actions and space around us in ways that help to integrate effective expressions of who we really are.

When in balance the Capricorn mysteries operate with awareness of how our actions effect the the generations to come and how we can actively contribute to the health and well-being of our personal and collective environment? Are we conscious stewards of the Earth? If not what can we change to be in greater harmony?

March 24, Monday. The Moon conjuncts Pluto (13 Capricorn 28) at 11:57 am illuminating the power that is within us to continue to up level the transformation need to establish new more empowering structures of reality. This includes consciously reconnecting to the wisdom and insights of the Ancient Ones, The Great Shining Ones, the Wise Ones, the Elders, the council of Grandmothers and Grandfathers, the ones who know how to act in accordance with the laws of the natural world that promote balanced living with the Earth.

These mysteries have been lost or ignored far too long. It is clear that the old structures are crumbling and will continue to do so as we approach the remarkable events of the Grand Cross and Eclipses next month. The question that might help this process is: “What vibrational energy can I be to further assist in birthing this New Earth into the structures that include peace and plenty for all?”

March 25, Tuesday. The Moon enters Aquarius at 3:39 pm energizing the mysteries of radical revolutionary ideas that promote evolutionary growth. For the next couple of days it might be helpful to ask “What would it take to expand my awareness to yet another level for the purpose of receiving the next octave of the greater cosmic vision for my life?”

Retrograde Mars (23 Libra 52) is making his second very close pass 4.8° NNE by Spica. Mars is -1 .2 and Spica is 1.0 magnitude. That means Mars is a bit brighter than Spica. (See March 26)

March 26, Wednesday. Retrograde Mars (23 Libra 33) is still very near Spica as is Retrograde Vesta (27 Libra). Vesta will again pass by Spica around April 11. This is a HUGE light code activation of the High Priestess mysteries being passed to Earth via Mars and Vesta as they connect with the Behenian Star Spica.

Spica is the primary fixed star star symbolizing the High Priestess or Hierophant who lights the way of Great Mystery. She is an ancient wisdom keeper depicted in the Tarot holding the lantern or light that helps us find and reclaim our lost and forgotten parts. We are all sparks or points of light from the fire of creation having set out on our separate journeys. And…each spark, each point of light is coded to return, to seek its missing parts and rejoin the creational fire.

The stars in the sky also carry their light codes, a preprogrammed message designed to guide us back to our source. These codes of light are triggered and amplified by the planets making their rounds. When we tune into the message they have for us we are consciously working with the As Above, So Below or primary guiding principle designed to support our return journey to home or source.

Working with this alignment through intention, meditation, prayers, chanting or any other activities that open you to other dimensional experiences are likely to be extra potent today. It is important to listen for inner guidance. Creating a sacred safe space is recommended for enhancing this possibility.

Spica has the ability to transfer awareness from the super conscious to the waking conscious mind and can also enhance lucid dreaming states and psychic abilities. Spica strengthens the physical body in the cervical vertebrae of the spine. This is the physical location in the body that symbolizes the separation of body and mind. So Spica creates an interchange between the separated selves assisting in the remembrance that there is ultimately no separation. Thus, Spica helps to bring the principle of oneness more fully into our conscious minds. http://hilarion.com/stars.html

March 27, Thursday. The Moon passes 3.6° NNE of Venus (19 Aquarius 15) at 12:52 am marking the second gate in the descent of Inanna into the underworld. This represents the 6th chakra Gate described as the Gate of Perception (third eye) in the Inanna story. This is when Inanna must give up her vestment referred to as her Rod and Measuring Staff.

This is especially significant for those in their eight year Venus return meaning anyone turning a multiple of 8 (16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80, 88, 94, 102 etc) between January 17, 2014 and August 20, 2015).

Working with the imagery of the 6th Chakra through ceremony, prayer, visualization or meditation is especially helpful now. This is the time to use your imagination to release any distortions you may have in regard to your inner vision and connection to the cosmic overview. The 6th Chakra is connected to our ability to see multi-dimensionally from a greater cosmic perspective on many levels including the physical and intuitive. This chakra is also known as the brow chakra as it is located between the eyes where our invisible third eye sits.

The colors Indigo, Red and Blue activate this chakra, and help to release any accumulation of distorted energy that effects our perception. Pyramid forms, flowers, aroma therapy, gem stones especially lapis, azurite, and sodalite, along with cosmic images from deep space are some ways to physically connect with your 6th chakra.

Think pituitary gland, nervous system, ears, nose and eyes are all in the domain of the brow chakra. It helps to let your imagination connect with this Venus Gate. Going outside and seeing the Moon with Venus while holding a clear intent to release whatever is holding you back in relationship to this chakra is a powerful way to engage this time. (If you haven’t checked out the Venus Tele-Series I am doing with Tami Brunk to support a ceremonial journey with Venus in her descent – a life changing opportunity – the details are HERE)

The Moon enters Pisces at 5:10 pm and sextiles Pluto (13 Capricorn 29) at 10:30 pm and will catch up to Neptune and Chiron tomorrow. This is a time for tuning into the light codes coming from the Moon, Neptune and Mercury in the realm of radical compassion through acceptance of what IS. This is a process of inner surrender that comes from conscious choice based on the insights that come from a mystical connection with the divine. This is a HUGE support to the Venus gate that is happening now.

March 28, Friday. The Moon conjuncts Neptune (06 Pisces 15) at 3:27 AM and passes Chiron about 12 hours later. Then the Moon passes 6° NNW Mercury (15 Pisces) at 5:20 pm. Following up on yesterday’s theme of the Moon with Neptune, Chiron and Mercury it is a time to surrender. The best way to do this is through compassion and forgiveness of ourselves and others.

Forced surrender doesn’t work and can’t ultimately be sustained. This is a process of forgiving the unforgiveable while also making a conscious choice to be with what IS. The bell cannot be unrung. There are things we can NOT change so allow them to be what they are is freeing. This actually removes all resistance and then change happens naturally.

For example, we can NOT change what day of the week, month or year it is. That is part of a greater collective agreement. We can NOT change who are parents are. We can NOT change the past. What is done is done and acceptance of that eases our present journey. It doesn’t mean we have to like it but if we accept it then we can change our view of what has been and that allows for the possibility of greater change in the present moment.

Every moment is different from the previous moment even if it doesn’t feel different. When we are relaxed and at ease it is much easier to rewire the neural net in our brain that make up the patterns of thinking including anxiety, worry, and fear. Accepting what IS and loving who we are, just as we are, in this moment NOW, is the most radically compassionate action we can take. This creates the space and possibility for experiencing in-the-moment miracles that are always present outside of our resistance and attachments to outcome. AND these miracles are often more amazing than what we may have imagined.

All forgiveness is self-forgiveness.
Your experience of the world is the result
of your combined state of thought and feeling – your arena of consciousness.
Since your experience of the world is a result of your state of consciousness,
then if you hate anyone, you are disliking a part of yourself.
-Raymond Charles Barker (1911 to 1988) former President of the International New Thought Alliance (INTA) And he opened the First Church of Religious Science in New York City in 1946

March 29, Saturday. Venus (22 Aquarius 43) is trining Mars (22 Libra 43) at 12:05 pm and square Saturn (22 Scorpio 44) at 2:14 pm. The trine to Mars in Libra suggests new innovative possibilities for conscious equal partnership between the masculine and feminine principles. The square to Saturn is highlighting the disintegration and annihilation of current shadowed structures that deplete the Earth and the feminine principle. Venus in Aquarius is a highlight intelligent and resourceful Goddess whose thinking extends beyond ordinary reality to embrace extraordinary possibilities.

The Venus Overtone of Capricorn (that began when Venus rose as a morning star in January) wisely uses this time with Saturn to re-evaluate the structure of her life by becoming conscious of what does and doesn’t work. Venus in Aquarius does not need anyone to help her figure this out, because she is aware that when she is aligned with her divine knowing she is helping to revolutionize this reality.

The Moon enters Aries at 6:54 pm. This is an archetypal energy fiercely committed to standing for what they believe is just and true. They are the Sacred Warriors who are dedicated to protecting the cosmic order of life.

March 30, Sunday. Today begins Daylight savings time for the European Union. The Aries New Moon (9 Aries 59) is exact at 11:45 am and catches up to Uranus (12 Aries 18) at 3:45 pm. This is the New Moon closest to the Equinox and is a potent seed point for committing or recommitting to a noble cause or purpose you feel passionate about. That purpose may be your own health and well-being or it might be a relationship or your sacred work.

New Moons are a great time to create intention statements and/or prayers around our heart’s desires and the Aries New Moon asks us what decisive action are we committed to taking to fulfill our intent? If you don’t know what your heart’s desire is then begin by asking – either through journaling or talking it through – talking out loud to yourself or a trusted friend so you can connect more clearly with your answers.

The questions might be:

“What is my true heart’s desire?” and/or
“What fear is in the way of me either knowing or acting on my personal visions and dreams?” and/or
“What would it take for me to no longer be at the effect of these fears?” and/or
“What would I be doing if I weren’t afraid?”

The process of inquiry and asking questions gets the universe moving on finding answers. If you know the answers then what committed action are you willing to take to further your purpose or mission? Aries is all about inspired, decisive action!

March 31, Monday. The Moon enters Taurus at 10:20 pm for the second time this month energizing the mysteries of pleasure and beauty as the path to the divine. Pleasure often comes unexpectedly in those moments when we allow ourselves to be aware of the magic and mystery all around us. The question is how can we have that experience daily? How can we savor and enjoy the pleasure that is often overlooked or only experienced briefly. “What vibrational can I be to fully allow and experience the pleasure and beauty of life?” (see March 4)
