What are the Mysteries?
The definition of the mysteries in the case of how we inform the mysteries as much as they inform us has to do with the direct experience of life as a mystery school, or teaching, that is continually unfolding.
It is not secret or hidden from us but it does require a willingness to become conscious of these mysteries so we can have a direct relationship with them.
The mysteries of the Earth and her cycles and seasons, the mysteries of the Moon and her cycles as they relate to the Earth, the mysteries of the other planets and Celestial Bodies are what we experience everyday.
We Lost a Vital Connection to an Essential Part of Ourselves
The cycles and seasons are an essential part of what it means to be alive on Earth. However, many do not take the time to notice, and therefore, have lost the ability to be in conscious equal relationship with these mysteries, so they have also lost the ability to consciously be informing them and be informed by them.
This website and the Celestial Timings offers insights, teachings, and practices on how to more fully connect with the unfolding mysteries as it relates to the magical link between the Earth and Sky and our direct experience of greater wholeness. Once reserved for an elite few, these mysteries are again available to all who desire to know and experience them.
More on the Definition of “the mysteries”
The dictionary has definitions like secrets, or something that is unknowable, unsolvable or unexplained. One definition was any truth that is unknowable except by divine revelation.
Another definition I found interesting for mystery was involving or characterized by esoteric, otherworldly, or symbolic practices or content, as certain religious ceremonies and art; spiritually significant; ethereal. So for the most part these are NOT the definitions I am referring to here though they it include aspects of these definitions.
Interestingly, the root of mystery is also found in mystic (and mysticism). Mystic is defined as some who has been initiated into religious mysteries and has learned sacred rites or mystic rites and has insight into mysteries transcending ordinary human knowledge through direct communication with the divine or immediate intuition in a state of spiritual ecstasy.
A mystic is also defined as some who teaches mysticism or a doctrine of an immediate spiritual intuition of truths believed to transcend ordinary understanding, or of a direct, intimate union of the soul with God through contemplation or ecstasy.
Mystery as My Story
Ultimately “the mysteries” are the journey of life itself. It is our personal story and how we experience that story is determined by the choices we make and our willingness to embrace what is our experience.
