Whenever a planet or the Moon is in Leo it is accessing the mysteries of self-love, self-confidence, self-approval, self-acceptance and self-respect.
Healthy self-love is not arrogance, hubris or a better than attitude as these qualities do NOT originate from genuine self-love but rather from its opposite.
One of the shadow sides of Leo is the entitled elite operating from fear of not enough and the mistaken belief that they are the special ones justified to claim the resources and wealth of world for themselves and everyone else is expendable as long as they get what they want. They believe it is their divine right to exploit the Earth and her resources even if others are harmed in the process.
The truth is healthy Leo is here to generously radiate love and light into the world for the benefit of everyone because they know there is more than enough to meet the needs of all. Healthy Leo knows they are infinite beings playing in an infinite Universe and they can create their reality anyway they choose. This means healthy Leo knows acting from healthy, radiant, abundant loving generosity uplifts all life including themselves. 😍
Keeping a gratitude and kindness journal that includes gratitude for all the ways you are experiencing self-love within is a great daily practice that cultivates radical revolutionary self-love.
Radical, revolutionary healthy self-love is only truly possible when we are willing to take total personal responsibility for who we are, what we are experiencing and how we are showing up in the world. Keeping a journal of ways that you are approving of yourself, accepting yourself, and showing up with courage and confidence that naturally inspires others are all healthy expressions of true self-love.
When planets are in Leo it is an especially potent time to do an inventory on how well you are doing at truly loving yourself.
Another way to engage a self-loving practice is to do things for yourself that are healthy, kind and fun such as; hanging with friends or family that you love, going to a movie or social event, or spending time in nature.
Another useful daily practice is gazing deeply into your eyes while looking in a mirror and recounting out loud all your most lovable qualities, and then ending that by saying that you truly love and accept yourself just as you are right now
A great question to ponder, journal on or journey on is:
What would it take to totally know and experience the radiant, generous, ever renewing source of abundance that is my divine inheritance now?
Another question might be: How am I genuinely Loving Myself more Today than Yesterday?
These questions are inspired by these Lyrics from a Spiral Staircase song recorded in 1968 and released in 1969. This song could be considered from the perspective of Healthy Self-Love! See music video here
I don’t remember what day it was
I didn’t notice what time it was
All I know is that I fell in love with you
And if all my dreams come true
I’ll be spending time with you
Every day’s a new day in love with you
With each day comes a new way of loving you
Every time I kiss your lip my mind starts to wander
If all my dreams come true
I’ll be spending time with you
Oh, I love you more today than yesterday
But not as much as tomorrow
I love you more today than yesterday
But, darling, not as much as tomorrow
Tomorrow’s date means springtime’s just a day away
Cupid, we don’t need ya now, be on your way
I thank the Lord for love like ours that grows ever stronger
And I always will be true
I know you feel the same way too
Oh, I love you more today than yesterday
But not as much as tomorrow…
