Edgewalking in Ecstasy and the Right Use of Will
Illuminates the potential and most magnificent gift of Scorpio and also Pluto Transits.
Moon travels through Scorpio every 27.3 days traveling through this sign for about 2.5 days and there is a Scorpio Full Moon at least once each year further illuminating the Scorpio Mysteries. See below
Sun, Mercury, and Venus pass through Scorpio every year and Mars passes through every 2 years. See dates when these planets enter the sign of Scorpio below…
Whenever any planet is in Scorpio it is featuring all shamanic themes of Death, Rebirth, Regeneration, Right Use of Will and of course Edgewalking.
The Scorpio Mantra…
I Will, My Will, Be Thy Will.
Edges are important
because they define a limitation
in order to deliver us from it.
When we come to an edge
we come to a frontier
that tells us that we are now about to become more
than we have been before.
As long as one operates in the middle of things,
one can never really know
the nature of the medium in which one moves.
The Time Falling Bodies Take to Light
William Irwin Thompson
This quote from The Right Use of Will, Healing and Evolving the Emotional Body received by Ceanne DeRohan further illustrates this…
The unconditional Love of the Spirit
is understood by many on Earth at present.
There is another energy, though,
that is also part of the Divine Creation,
which has not yet been fully understood – the Divine Will.
The Will expresses as feelings.
The Spirit and the Will are partners in the body
and must find their balance in the Heart.
Conscious Edgewalking
Any planetary transit through Scorpio invites us to consciously walk the edges of what is dying and what is being birthed with opportunities for willfully (purposefully) creating a new paradigm ecstatically aligned with Divine Love and Divine Will.
There is NO one way to do this that is better than any other, however the process is more gracefully facilitated when we embrace what is unfolding while releasing any attachments to specific results.
Many of us will experience varying degrees of fear around the edges of what is changing. Although some may try to avoid these new and unfamiliar edges – the changes are already in motion and new edges – like new frontiers – are emerging.
Edges are dividing lines between things or where one thing leaves off and another begins. There are edges between cultures, races, belief systems, paradigms, and people. There are edges to our homes, to our communities, to our differences, and to our choices. Everything has an edge and indeed everyone walks an edge of some kind. So why not choose to explore these edges with openness, curiosity, and awareness?
Conscious Edgewalking occurs when we seek out the edges of contemporary beliefs and existing paradigms, choosing to move beyond them, exploring and expanding into new passionately alive territory. Conscious Edgewalking requires willingness to walk the edges of old and new ways, bridging what has been with what is emerging, allowing death to embrace what is ready to die, creating space for new ideas, new ways, and new experiences to birth.
Scorpio and Manifestation
Another aspect of the Scorpio mysteries is connected to manifestation. When we allow ourselves to explore the edges of our known reality with passion and intensity we automatically move into new ecstatic territory alive with great magic and life force. It is this passion that guides us, allowing expressions of grace to permeate our experience.
Scorpio’s passionate, intense vital life force energy has been greatly feared and repressed over the last few thousand years, including the burning times, splitting us off from a full on healthy connection with our emotional bodies. When that happens, then what tends to manifest is depression, anxiety, anger, dis-ease, manipulation, control and so on.
The way to make the most of the Scorpio edge is to be willing to feel ALL your feelings, creating safe, effective and transformative ways to engage them. When we engage our feelings with the intent to release whatever has been stuck in our bodies, it ultimately leads to full body life force activation, kundalini awakening and new experiences of ecstasy and bliss.
A worthy Scorpio manual addressing these issues is the first half of the book Right Use of Will channeled or received by Ceanne DeRohan. This book describes the misunderstanding that caused a split to occur between Will and Spirit, leading many to believe their feelings (Will) were not acceptable. This misunderstanding is what lead to the practice of repressing feelings.
The book points out that, “…the Will of God is not in opposition to the Will of the individual…” When we are healthy our Will is automatically aligned with Divine Will. And the fastest way to heal and evolve the Will is to …
Whenever a planet is traveling through the Scorpio Realm – it is an opportune time to find safe, effective, healthy ways to explore and accept your feelings/will for the purpose of experiencing ever increasing divine life force energy, also known as ecstasy and bliss. Clearing your Will of all the emotional trauma it has been holding is often overwhelming, so it might be helpful to find a skilled facilitator to support and guide you into these scary places within yourself.
Any process that provides a safe space for getting in touch with our deeper feelings such as breathwork, body oriented counseling, shamanic journeying, and whole being integration techniques are powerfully supportive during this time.

I love this Edgewalking piece. I have to laugh every time I think of it because to this day, when I am walking with a certain friend with lots of Capricorn and Cancer, she will reach out with her arm as you would a child and stop me at the edge where the sidewalk meets the street. It’s just where I go.
I too love to sit on edges and have done so since I was a kid. A Scorpio story: When I was a child our neighbor’s front yard was at least 10 feet lower than ours because we lived on hilly terrain. It was separated from our yard by a retaining wall. My mom was constantly warning me about the dangers of this situation. I, of course, was fascinated by the edge and so, finally, when I was not under the watchful eye of my mother and the neighbors were not home, I jumped. As I landed on first my feet, then my knees and hands, I was surprised by how hard the lawn was. It was, of course, no harder than our own but I’d never approached our lawn from that height. Later on in life I learned how to fly hang gliders and paragliders and was able to jump from the edge … and fly. It never became an all-consuming interest as it does for some, I just wanted to know the experience.
Thank you so much for sharing Vi – love your story and wow hang gliding and paraglider ones I haven’t tried yet – though I have done a Hot Air Balloon! And I suspect we may have had a similar experience with our Moms. My Mom was terrified of heights – so she commanded me to get down from there (trees, rock climbing etc) this instant. I would wave at her and take my time climbing back down 🙂
My Venus and Mars are both in Scorpio, and I love what I found here today. So much wisdom, with authors to explore, and metaphors that ring and reflect my own experience and thoughts. You really bring me home. Thank you, Cayelin!
Yay Heather! So happy to know this resonates for you! Its so time to welcome the gifts of the Scorpio archetype back into our understanding and experience!!!
As a Sag with Virgo rising, 3 planets in Scorpio, I have been learning about and building muscles around this very teaching. I am very grateful for this synchronistic post.
Wow Judith so happy you are strengthening your Scorpio connection and imaging it is in a healthy way too so you get to experience more ecstasy and bliss…one of the Scorpio gifts that gets overlooked in a more mainstream approach.
Beautiful Sky Dancer. This is so timely for me. I’ve always said that my balance point is the edge of the edge and as long as I stay at that point I do well. Of course it doesn’t look like balance to anyone else but it doesn’t have to. And I’ve always said that I want to be willing and not willful. That allows me to align my will with the Divine Will. Now I’m up against my known boundaries and Jupiter is getting ready to expand and illuminate the deep dark rich mystical Land of Scorpio. I have already been feeling it’s effect. I look forward to this Journey with trust and surrender knowing that I Am guided by the Magic of Celestial Forces. Thank you Cayelin for all night sky knowledge that you so graciously step down for the rest of us.
Thank you Beautiful To-Ree-Nee. I have always loved how you balance and dance on the Edge of the Edge and are willing not willful. So beautifully said. Maybe we will connect over this time and share some ceremonial magic? Love you so much!
Hi Cayelin,
I appreciate this imagery with all the Scorpio I have. Thank you for all you do. Mary
Thank you Mary…we do share the Scorpio thing you and I. 🙂
