Juno in Libra

Juno (Roman) married to Jupiter
Hera (Greek) married to Zues

Here I sing of Hera
She has a golden throne…
She is an immortal queen
Hers is the most eminent of figures
She is the sister
She is even the wife of Zeus thunderer
She is glorious

All the gods on vast Olympus
Revere her,
They honor her even equal to Zeus
the lover of lightning
Homers hymn to Hera,

Magical Synchronicity is currently occurring in the November 1, 2018 to June 9, 2020 Libra Cycle with Asteroid Juno (representing conscious,  co-creative, collaboration in the relational realms) having entered Libra on November 3, 2019 traveling through Libra until September 21, 2020 when Juno enters Scorpio spending nearly 11 months in the sign of Libra. The last time Juno was in Libra this long was in 2006 to 2007. It will be 2032 to 2033 before it happens again. See table below.

2020 began with Juno around 17 degrees Libra. Juno goes retrograde on February 8 at 21 Libra 39 stationing direct on May 27 at 5 Libra 49. Juno goes retrograde near the star Spica recognized as one of the most powerful stars of the divine feminine. Stationing direct near the star Zaniah connecting to the divine feminine in her role as Heirodule.

Juno, along with the stars Spica and Zaniah are assisting Venus in 2020 as she rises into her relational power. You may recall Venus rose as a morning star in Libra November 1, 2018 for the first time in 155 years. So to have Juno in Libra as Venus reaches the end of her 19 month initiation is a super rare occurrence worth noting.

The asteroid Juno (no matter what sign she occupies) and her relational Goddess expression represents the deepest desire for personal connection with a beloved other and where we are also learning cooperation and compromise ideally creating relational harmony that includes balanced equal value with others.

When these qualities are NOT met – then jealousy, possessiveness, infidelity, manipulation, betrayal, projection and abandonment – to name a few – are rampant.

Hera/Juno was sister and wife of Zeus/Jupiter

The month of June is named after Juno

Hera/Juno’s symbols are the Peacock, Geese, Rainbow, Scepter and Pomegranate (tying to her to an earlier goddess of the dead – Persephone comes to mind?)

As Queen of Heaven (Venus?) she presided over marriage, sexuality and fertility.

Demetra George shares in her book Asteroid Goddesses some historical insights about the Hera/Juno mythology summing up what has been prevalent in the relationship realm for many centuries.

Zues is described as the philandering husband and Hera is the faithful but angry, vengeful wife taking her vengeance out on the women Zeus pursued.

However, historically, Queen Hera reigned alone until Achaean tribes (in 12th century BC) invaded her homeland. Her immense following was seen as an obstacle – so Hera was forced to become the wife of their chief God Zeus.

Demetra George suggests that from this perspective she was NOT the jealous quarrelsome wife but rather the Feminine Leader or ruling Queen, coerced by alien invaders but never completely subdued.

What is the NEW Story (Relational Blueprint) rewriting the story of Hera and Zues (Juno and Jupiter)?

How do we create a story that features Mystical Sacred Union – Heiros Gamos (or a Sacred Marriage between the masculine and feminine) on all levels including: spiritually, mentally emotionally, physically, and sexually as a deeply fulfilling experience

Once upon a NOW Time Hera and Zeus committed to their personal growth and relationship from the inside out.

They stopped looking outside of themselves for answers, validation and fulfillment.

They took responsibility for their own experience, realizing they were mirrors for each other including their shadow and their gifts.

They committed to creating a Magical, Loving, Fun, and Fulfilling relationship first with themselves and then with each other.

They practiced:

  • Self-forgiveness and forgiving each other
Compassionate Communication and Active Reflective Listening
  • They shared Daily Gratitude and Appreciation
  • They honored and practice each other’s love language and much more… .And they lived Happily Ever After!
