July is named after Julius Caesar

Caesar commissioned help in developing the Julian calendar, a solar based calendar that did account for the nearly extra day that would occur every 4 years. Caesar was assassinated on the Ides of March before the calendar was voted into existance. The reason for creating a new calendar at that time was because the days of the month were no longer aligning with the seasons as the previous Roman lunar calendar had drifted significantly over time.

In 44 BCE, the Roman Senate renamed the month of Quintilis (Latin for 5th month since the Roman Calendar began in March at the Spring Equinox) to Julius (later it was shortened to July) in honor of Julius Caesar, as it was the month of his birth. The Julian Calendar was officially activated on the first of January 45 BCE.

Today we have the Gregorian Calendar that was instituted in 1582 replacing the Julian calendar because it had drifted one day every 128 years or by then a full 10 days. The Gregorian Calendar is also solar based but it  kept the names of the month including July as the seventh month. By 1582 the Roman calendar had drifted 10 days so Pope Gregory had the calendar revised. (More HERE) 

The first few days of July corresponds to the ending of the Celtic tree-calendar month of the oak on July 7th and the beginning of the month of Tinne, or Holly Tree. According to the Celtic calendar this is a month of balance, whose sacred color is dark gray-green.

Mars and Uranus are already at work making their exact alignment on July 3 at 3°Gemini 52′ so very near the planetary alignment that features Pluto at 4°Aquarius, Neptune at 4°Aries, Uranus at 4°Gemini and Jupiter at 4°Leo . These four outer planets are in Fire and Air suggesting something big is happening.

Let’s just focus on Mars Uranus conjunctions for now as they are famous for creating disruptions in the Earth’s grid.

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook Northern California on June 24, marking the strongest quake to hit the region since 1940 when Uranus and Mars were within less than 2° of each other in Taurus.

Also in the last few days of June we had a 6.9 earthquake in Japan, and a 7.2 and 7.5 in Venezuela destroying buildings and ending lives.

Uranus and Mars tend to be disruptive via sudden, radical energy that expresses in many ways beyond earthquakes. This energy is about sudden, unexpected, and radical change.

It represents the breakdown of outdated structures, beliefs, and illusions. While often initially perceived as frightening or destructive, it ultimately acts as a necessary catalyst for liberation, spiritual awakening, and authentic rebuilding.

This is about being open to change, expanding our perspective and knowing the breakdown is designed to breakthrough to awaken us in ways we might have even known was possible.
